KENSINGTON GORE, LONDON SW7
SQ/FT: 6,365
COMPLETED: FEBRUARY 2019
Commissioned to interior design and project manage the extensive refurbishment of a former Ambassadorial residence in one of London's most affluent areas located close to the wide open spaces of Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Imperial College and the Royal Albert Hall.
The focus of this project was to provide the perfect contemporary London residence, whilst remaining  sympathetic to its original period features, as well as the addition of a passenger lift, a roof terrace and separate utility areas.
The design concept was focused on preserving the period features of the property and we based the classical theme around them. Whilst working with a heritage colour palette focused on complementing the grand feel of the property, we included bespoke joinery and curated unique pieces to a suiting standart.
The colour scheme for the palatial reception rooms and dining room was kept natural with warm greys and creams and classically styled in keeping with the history of the property, creating an ideal space for formal entertaining.
A warm blush colour palette created a stylish and intimate atmosphere in the master bedroom, which features its own dressing area and a spacious and luxurious en-suite master bathroom designed with floor to ceiling marble, free standing bath with Aqua TV, glass shower, wc rooms and under floor heating.
Continuing the organic colour palette, for the second bedroom we used hues of grey and taupe with accents of turquoise adding to its elegant and bright feel. The room also features bespoke built in cupboards and a modern en-suite bathroom.
The aim of our styling was to feature and highlight the double height ceilings, original covings, grand fireplaces, beautiful parquet floors and artwork.
This is a truly exceptional period property of extraordinary proportions!
