Commissioned to carry out the full refurbishment of a large two-bedroom apartment nestled in the heart of central London, the primary objective was to enhance both the investment potential and the rental market value of the property. This endeavour was not merely about aesthetic upgrades; it was a strategic overhaul aimed at maximising the apartment's appeal to prospective tenants and buyers alike, ensuring it stands out in a competitive market.

The main focus was placed on reconfiguring the layout to create an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area, which is increasingly favoured in contemporary lifestyle trends. This design choice not only visually increased the feeling of space but also facilitated a more natural flow throughout the apartment. The open-plan layout fosters a sense of connection among family members and guests, making it an ideal setting for entertaining. To achieve this, we implemented bespoke joinery that allowed for a stylish yet functional kitchen. The kitchen was equipped with luxurious stone worktops that add a touch of elegance, complemented by sleek glass splash backs that enhance the modern aesthetic.

The second key improvement involved the transformation of the underused master bedroom patio into a versatile office space. This strategic conversion not only gave the area a much more practical use and purpose but also catered to the growing trend of remote working. The enclosure of the patio added a layer of functionality, allowing it to be used year-round regardless of the weather. This enhancement added significant market appeal as well as a substantial increase in the property's overall value. By creating a dedicated workspace, we addressed the needs of modern professionals who increasingly seek homes that accommodate both living and working environments. Considering the target market, we based the design scheme on elegant greys and subtle taupes for a more diversified appeal and added some gentle finishing accents of purples and silvers in the soft furnishings and accessories.
