Located at the heart of London's West End and only moments away from Hyde Park and the shopping amenities of Oxford Street, this three bedroom maisonette was in urgent need of an update to maximise on investment value and rental market yield.
Our main focus on this project was set on three key areas; improving the layout and functionality of the space throughout, bringing in more natural daylight on the lower ground level and achieving a luxury finish to improve market appeal.
We began by reconfiguring the ground floor layout. The existing galley kitchen was small and unappealing and felt detached from the living room. The dining area was too small and rather dark. We, therefore, made the decision to spatially redesign this floor by taking down all internal walls and re-designing it as one large open plan area, which housed the kitchen, a good sized dining area and a lounge.This made it feel brighter, more modern and much more functional in terms of layout.
The lower ground floor benefitted from new french doors, which provided a substantial influx of natural light within the bedrooms making them brighter and more welcoming. The master en-suite bathroom was also reconfigured to allow for a large walk-in shower which added significant appeal.
For the interior scheme, we used a wide range of highly durable materials without compromising on style and opted for a soft, neutral palette with accents of burnt orange velvets and polished golds, giving the decor a sense of liveable luxury. We opted for a dark walnut kitchen with brass fittings and equipped it with all modern integrated appliances.
